LIFE in the ’60s

The prompt for this book design was to photograph ten examples of each letter of the alphabet from print sources and combine them in a book with a cohesive and engaging theme. I found all of these letters in LIFE Magazines from the 1960s. Then, I chose a significant event or person from the decade to correspond with each letter. Each page also includes a quote from an edition of LIFE Magazine about that event or person. I unified the images with a muted color palette and typography reminiscent of the magazines from the decade.
